Shirodhara
A relaxing healing technique where warm oil, milk or buttermilk is poured in a continuous stream across the forehead. Always preceded by abhyanga to ensure optimum relaxation is achieved during treatment.

Kati Basti
Dough is formed to create a reservoir over a body area experiencing tension, such as the lower back. Warm herbal oil is poured into the reservoir at a specific temperature which is maintained throughout the treatment for relaxation and relief. Followed by Nadi Swedena (focused steam).

Nadi Swedena
A herbal steam always preceded by oileation, it can be used as a whole-body steam or as a focused steam after Kati Basti.

Kizzi Bolus
A bolus containing fresh and dried herbal ingredients is heated in medicated oil and used to massage the body. This treatment is always followed by Swedena (full body steam).

Navar Kizzi
A variety of rice that has medicinal properties is cooked in a milk concoction and made into a bolus, which is then dipped into a heated milk decoction and used to massage the body. This procedure is always followed by Swedena (full body steam).

Pizhichil
A unique procedure where warm medicated oil is poured in a continuous stream onto and massaged into the body. This procedure is always followed by Swedena (full body steam).

Udwarthanum
A therapeutic treatment, massaging the body with herbal powder in a counterclockwise direction to stimulate sluggish circulation and improve skin complexion. This treatment is always followed by Swedena (full body steam).
Nasya Karma
The administration of herbal preparations through the nose. This may be warm herbal oil, juices from fresh herbs, or smoke from dried herbs. This depends on individual needs. This treatment is preceded by head, shoulder, palms, and soles massage. Hot water fomentation is carried out at the end of treatment to forehead, sinus areas, neck, and mandibular area, whilst protecting the eyes.
